The Toyota Venza 2024 is not exactly our reference for a family vehicle nor does it represent a novelty in Mexico, but we really wanted to get our hands on it, especially because over the years it has become a relatively popular model on our streets. Every time we think about his proposal, we end up with the same question in mind: Is the Toyota Venza a smart buy?

One thing is what is said on the paper of the technical sheet and another is what is written after driving it for a long time. Out of curiosity about a product that has been strongly criticized in our country, we took the Toyota Venza 2024 here and there to discover first-hand how effective it is as a family transportation vehicle.

Good or bad 7 people fit:

We cannot say that the Toyota Venza 2024 is an SUV or something similar. It is, rather, a minivan developed from the needs of a region where families are so large that they could make their own soccer team: Asia. Specifically, the Toyota Venza comes from Toyota’s Thai subsidiary, with the intention of moving 7 passengers without a heavy investment in a large SUV.

First of all, it seems like a sincere vehicle to us. What you see is what there nothing more is seven seats, a steering wheel and a workhorse with no other pretensions than to transport the family. The quality of the finishes does not help in the balance either. All the plastics in the cabin are hard and even shiny, very economical in appearance. Now, security. Over the years, many colleagues have said that the Toyota Venza 2024 is not a safe vehicle. With two airbags, ABS brakes and four stars in crash tests , it seems to offer adequate levels of protection… and yet we agree with them.

Is the Toyota Venza 2024 a smart purchase?

Equipped? No. Efficient? Not fast? Unsure? No. The two best and only – arguments of the Toyota Venza 2024 are reliability and the possibility of transporting 7 passengers, at the expense of a vehicle that in everything else leaves something to be desired, especially considering that its price ranges from 235,000 to 270,000 weights, prices for which we already find models with better finishes, more technology, more safety, more modern engines and even more spacious interiors, but without the possibility of transporting 7 people.

If you really need all the places almost all the time, the Avanza is an interesting option… because for that price you won’t find anything else in the new car market, other than the always forgotten Peugeot Partner. The Toyota Avanza’s real competition is in the used vehicle market , where a 2013 Mazda 5, a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander or a 2013 Toyota Highlander are a much more interesting option, for the same or even less money.
