- During our trip to the Munich Motor Show, we came across the large German SUV on the autobahn. The press days for the 2025 Munich Motor Show have ended, but the surprises didn’t stop at the exhibition halls. During the trip to the Bavarian capital, Lorenzo Curatti, director of Motor1.com Italy, photographed a heavily camouflaged BMW prototype.
- Its square and imposing shape suggests the new X7, or more specifically, a major update like the one the 1 Series underwent: a refresh that could bring it closer in style and technology to the current 7 Series. Here’s what we managed to see with our own eyes.
A BMW-Style front end and gigantic proportions
- As we passed by the prototype, the first detail that emerged from under the camouflage was the model’s typical, unaltered volumes: a flat hood, a high roof, and a very vertical rear, along with a robust side profile, sculpted wheel arches, and the inevitable large wheels.
- At the rear, a large tailgate was visible, perhaps split, with clearly provisional taillights and four exhaust outlets that might not be final.
